MATASSA INC. is currently contributing Quality Assurance and construction management support to the NextStar Energy EV Battery Plant, a multi-billion-dollar development and the first large-scale lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility in Canada. The project spans more than 4.2 million square feet across 11 major structures, including cell and module manufacturing lines, testing labs, auxiliary buildings, and specialized production facilities designed to meet strict environmental and energy-control requirements.

Upon completion, the site will support up to 49.5 GWh of annual battery production and employ over 2,500 workers. Matassa’s continued involvement reinforces our company’s ability to contribute to large-scale, technically rigorous industrial projects that are shaping the future of Canadian manufacturing.
