MATASSA INC. was a key construction partner for the City of Windsor’s new 22,000 sq. ft. Jackson Park Greenhouse Complex — a major municipal investment designed to enhance the city’s horticulture operations. Matassa’s role included forming and pouring all structural concrete foundations, slabs, and support bases for the greenhouse structures, as well as executing civil site work to prepare the grounds for utilities, drainage, and long-term site stability. Our team also provided structural and architectural carpentry services essential to the greenhouse framework, interior partitioning, and coordination with mechanical and glazing trades. The project required tight sequencing, precise layout control, and strict compliance with municipal construction specifications. Working within an active public park space, Matassa implemented advanced safety measures, efficient staging areas, and careful logistics to reduce disruption while ensuring smooth, on-time execution.
The greenhouse complex was successfully completed and now serves as a modern, high-efficiency growing facility for Windsor’s year-round planting and horticultural programs. Matassa’s workmanship, quality control, and collaborative approach contributed to a municipal project that will benefit the community for decades. Our involvement showcases our company’s ability to deliver institutional infrastructure with precision, professionalism, and reliable project management.
